KELLY WORKMAN
Graduated Clear Creek High School 1988
Graduated University of Houston 1992
I am the mother of 6 children, ages 3 to 23
Began fitness obsession at age of 14 when I started working out at a local Karate gym in League City. That is where I first began lifting weights.
By 19, I was competing in local bikini shows and working as a Bud Light Representative as well as a Venus Swimwear model.
At 21, I graduated college and began my career in real estate buying and flipping rental homes in Kingwood-Humble area but my love for exercise never waivered. From 21-26 I competed in numerous fitness competitions usually taking 1st – 3rd place. Diet and exercise have always been a focus. I had great mentors like Keith Klein, who took my knowledge of diet to the next level.
In 1996, I had my first child. I also became a STOTTS Pilates Certified Instructor and began training clients in my home gym. I also became an ACE certified personal trainer to gain more knowledge of exercise and diet. From 1996 – 2015 I had five more children, all the while staying active and fit. In 2006, after the birth of my 5th child, I decided to compete one last time in the newly formed Olympia Weekend Bikini Competition in Las Vegas. I took 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
Since 2010 I have participated in one marathon, five ½ marathons, ten 10K, numerous 5K, two Tough Mudder competitions, Cross-Fit competitions, and several Obstacle Course races. I volunteer as a big sister in big brother big sisters club of America, am a weekly grief facilitator at Bo’s Place in Houston and a volunteer at West University Elementary, Pershing Middle School and Lamar High School. I have been a past volunteer with Meals on Wheels and other Parkinson’s foundations.
